IPSL in Siena

The IPSL service-learning program offered at Siena Italian Studies is a "gentle full immersion" in Italian life for highly motivated beginners, intermediate and advanced Italian language students. The Service Learning Program (semester or academic year) is a concentrated combination of Italian language, socio-anthropological training, and field work that results in a once-in-a-lifetime experience of social service in the complex and evolving society of Italy today. Combining language study, accommodations, and excursions, the Service Learning Program aims to fully immerse the participant in a practical study of modern Italian society. The participant can choose one of the following areas for his or her in-depth socio-anthropological study and field work:
